DONATION GOAL ACHIEVED – Dzambhala
THANK YOU TO OUR DONOR! THIS STATUE HAS NOW BEEN FULLY SPONSORED, THERE ARE NO SPONSORSHIPS LEFT FOR DZAMBHALA.
Dzambhala (Jambhala) symbolises richness in all its forms and embodies the power of wealth to benefit beings. He is also considered a manifestation of Avaloketishvara (Chenrezig). He holds a mongoose that spews forth jewels to benefit beings and in his right hand he holds a wish-fulfilling jewel.
We are making a Dzambhala statue for our waterfall based on this magnificent statue made by Jonathon Partridge in Chenrezig Institute. The flowing water symbolises washing away the material and spiritual poverty of the world. A special rock pedestal has been created for Dzambhala. The statue will be made from a poly-marble product by statue makers in Ho Chi Minh City. It is our plan to have this statue in place by the time Lama Zopa Rinpoche arrives here in March 2020.
The total cost for the statue is $8000. This will cover the making of the statue, painting of gold and then detailed painting of the face, filling of the statue with precious items, shipping and fixing it to the waterfall.
There is only one opportunity to sponsor this statue for $8000. The donor of this special once-off sponsorship will have their name/message (of 88 characters) put on a long lasting bronze plaque.
