Event Overview

Join us at the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion for a rare and precious two-day event with His Eminence the 7th Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche, featuring Dharma teachings and sacred initiations. This is a unique opportunity to receive teachings directly from a revered master of the Gelug tradition.

Over this precious weekend, His Eminence will offer the following programme:

Saturday 16 August:

• 8.30am – 9.30am Registration & Seating
• 10.00am – 12.00pm Amitayus Initiation
• 12.00pm – 2.00pm Lunch Break
• 2.00pm Dharma Talk – What is Universal Compassion?

Sunday 17 August:

• 10am – 12pm 21 Tara’s Initiation

Please note: there will be no commitments required as part of either initiation.

Participants who have booked will be provided with additional event information closer to the date.

Booking is essential, with a modest $50 fee to help make the event widely accessible. Donations are welcomed to support the significant costs of hosting this visit.

Food

Meals are not included in the booking fee. A limited, pre-set vegetarian meals are available for purchase at the time of booking. We are unable to cater for additional dietary needs—guests with specific requirements are kindly asked to bring their own vegetarian food. Additional food and drinks are available from the on-site StupaView Café.

Limited on-site accommodation is available through the Atisha Centre, the Great Stupa, and nearby Dharma centres. Off-site options can also be found in Bendigo, Maiden Gully, or Marong. Contact details are provided for lay guests, monks, and nuns via the link below.
