HELP US REPLACE THE SHAMBOO ON THE GREAT STUPA!

We are seeking your help to hang a new shamboo.

A Tibetan shamboo is a beautiful silky ruffled banner which is hung on the canopy above the prayer wheels, that goes all the way around The Great Stupa. As well as being a traditional Tibetan decoration, it is important to have a shamboo as it represents the blessings descending on the stupa.

Our shamboo continues to need replacing every 3 – 6 months as it becomes worn due to the weather.
With your help, we will be able to maintain this auspicious item.
