Group Tours

The Great Stupa is located just outside of Bendigo, and is the largest Stupa being built in the Western world. It will be 50 metres high and 50 metres square at its base and is being built to last 1000 years.

GROUP TOUR

Begin in our Visitor Centre where you’ll view an introductory film about who we are and how we came to be in Bendigo. Explore the interfaith Peace Park with your friendly and knowledgeable guide. Inside the Great Stupa learn about Buddhist culture and future plans for the project, all while viewing beautiful relics and statues, including the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace. STUPAVIEW CAFE

Sit down for a delicious vegetarian lunch overlooking the Great Stupa. Our StupaView Cafe caters to large groups and offers a selection of platters, including hot pastries, wraps, sweets and fresh fruit. Groups can pre-order their food using the order form (page two of the Group Booking Form). Vegan and gluten-free options are available; please indicate any dietary requirements when making your booking.

 

GROUP BOOKING FORM

To request a group booking, please complete our GROUP BOOKING FORM and send it back to tours@stupa.org.au or The Great Stupa, PO Box 869, Maiden Gully VIC 3551. You can find more information about our group tours, in our Group Tour Pack.

What you need to know:

  • Tour Duration: we recommend at 1.5 hours for your guided tour
    (please notify us of any time constraints when making your booking)
  • Minimum people per tour: 10
    (groups booking for less than 10 people, are still required to pay the minimum fee for 10 people)
  • Accessibility: wheelchair accessible, accessible toilet and parking available
    (please indicate whether the use of our buggy is required for people with mobility issues)
  • Carparking: ample parking spaces are available for cars, caravans and coaches.

  • Admission per person: $9 weekdays | $11 weekends | $15 public holidays
  • Fitness: all levels
  • Toilets: located inside the Visitor Centre only

What to bring:

To make your tour as comfortable as possible, we recommend bringing these items on your tour (weather dependent).

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • A camera (pictures can be taken anywhere on site)
  • Water bottle
  • Hat / sunglasses / umbrella / rain coat / jacket
