ORGANITÉ tea originates from small-scale forest tea gardens nurtured by village communities as an authentic practice in the mid country of Sri Lanka. ORGANITE is a fusion of the words * organic’ jind ‘thé’ (the local Sinhalese term for tea). The tea is manufactured through the precise handpicking of the two leaves and the bud, known as ‘Pekoe’, and the handmade process followed by the villagers enhances the fragrance and flavour of a tea cup to refresh the human mind and soul.

Organité tea is marketed and distributed by Artha Life, as an initiative to support local artisan communities of Sri Lanka that engage in small, intimate practices involving tea, handloomed textiles, handcrafts, and other creatives. As a company, Artha Life solely focuses on promoting these community based products that are ethical and organic, thereby uplifting the livelihoods of these low income individuals in Sri Lanka that dedicate their lives for these practices.
