The Kalachakra tantra, a key practice of the Mahayana Vajrayana tradition from Tibet, holds a profound connection to world peace. Its rare and powerful initiation, traditionally conferred by great masters, blesses the local area, country, and beyond.

At the request of our late Spiritual Director, Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche, the Great Stupa will host the Kalachakra Initiation and a Mind Mandala Retreat to celebrate the installation of the new Kalachakra Ceiling.

We are honored that His Eminence Khensur Jhado Rinpoche will lead this rare event, including guidance for the approximation retreat—the first of its kind in this region. Rinpoche expressed his joy at the enthusiastic response, saying, “It’s excellent that so many want to accomplish the approximation retreat.”
