A hanging tassel featuring the vajra (Sanskrit) or dorje (Tibetan). In Sanskrit, the vajra is usually defined as diamond or thunderbolt. A diamond represents purity and an indestructible nature, being durable and eternal. As such, the vajra or dorje have come to signify the lightning bolt power of enlightenment and the absolute, indestructible reality of shunyata – emptiness.The dorje has been used as an amulet of protection, and this tassel hanging can be hung in a room or carried on oneself as a reminder of these qualities.
